First Day of Running Challenge

The day began with a drizzle and gray skies here in Puyallup, WA. A cold chill in air made it just right for the premier day of the Active Rain Running Challenge. Actually, I was exhausted and had no desire to run this morning, but knowing that I just started this group and already had a couple others joining me, got me on the road.

After 20 minutes of running, I just couldn't stop and continued running my route a second time for a 40 minute run. Those last couple minutes were tough and I thought my heart would explode.

While running, my thoughts led me to pressing through tough times and not giving up. 90% of people give up before reaching their potential. Leaving only 10% who press through the pain and get to the top. The top 10% is where I want to be and this running challenge is setting my path in that direction.

There is now a GROUP called Active Rainers Running Challenge. I have no idea how to set up a link on my blog to get you there - sorry.

I ran a search for the group and came up empty.  Any idea where I can find it?  I went about 20min yesterday and about 30 today.  Largely depends on how my dog is feeling.  If he's tired we don't go far, on days like today when he sees a rabbit every 10 feet we go further and faster than I'd like.
