In Memory - Sean Langevin

Sean Langevin - His life sacrificed for our nation

Sacrifice. The ultimate sacrifice. It is what Sean Langevin gave in service to his country, our country. Given to protect us, given so we can live in freedom.

Sean Langevin, 23 years old, a husband, a father of an unborn daughter, Zoe,  a son, a nephew, a cousin, a friend. Sean lived his life full of adventure with a smile that captured the joy of existence in a world filled with challenges, pain, and war.

On November 9th, 2007, Sean and his unit were ambushed while guarding tribal leaders in the mountains of Eastern Afghanistan. Six were killed and others remain in critical condition, injured for life.

The reality of war set in on our family with the loss of our cousin. I had seen pictures on the news of fallen soldiers. It had become so regular that it had little or no affect. Now it has become all too real. Through my tears I have a small glimpse of what our soldiers face day in and day out for my freedom, our freedom.

It is an honor to recognize Sean Langevin, who gave his life doing the business of truly helping people. He looked the enemy in the eye and stood his ground to protect his unit, his friends, his family, and his country. Thank you, Sean!

In Memory - Mike Carrier

Today, is not just a day off work and maybe it isn't a day off for you. Today is a day to reflect and remember those who have gone before us, those who have served our country so we can be free, and our loved ones no longer with us.

Mike Carrier was an incredible man and an excellent REALTOR. He worked in my office at Keller Williams and always had a smile and a bit of humor to brighten up the office. When Mike was diagnosed with cancer in December, we rallied around him and his family as one of our own. As he battled, the cancer spread and in March, I attended the services for this great family man and agent.

It was standing room only at the service where Mike was honored for his military service, his career at Boening, his second career as a REALTOR, and most of all as a loving father and husband.

So, this Memorial Day, I honor Mike Carrier and his family!

Real Estate Always a Good Investment

Over time, real estate has historically been a good investment. The key is to know the market where you want to invest. That takes time or trust in those who follow the market. Even then, it is important to know property specifics.

The best part of investing in real estate is you can do it with little or no money down (finding those programs is getting more difficult, but you still can find them) and own a property worth hundreds of thousands of dollars.

Investing in real estate will build up your net wealth like nothing else. Be sure you have real estate as part of your investment portfolio.

Relay For Life

Relay for Life is a fundraiser to fight cancer. Near the end of June thousands will gather in Puyallup, WA and other cities to relay with their teams. This will be my first Relay for Life and I have heard from others that the opening ceremonies will bring you to tears as cancer survivors open the relay with a walk around the track.

The Relay caught my attention this year because cancer has been at the forefront of my thoughts as a friend and a family member are battling this disease, and one of my colleagues became a victim of this deadly disease in March. As I watch them battle, alongside their families, through the pain and emotional difficulties, I felt it was time to do a little something to fight with them.

So, the Solinsky Home Selling Team has a goal of raising $1,000 while participating in the Relay for Life.

Would you be willing to join me? - there are a number of ways to do so - walk with our team, donate to our team, pray for our team -

Go to www.SolinskyRFL.com to see my reason to relay and help support the Solinsky Home Selling Team in the fight against cancer.

Do you know someone who is battling cancer or has battled cancer? I would like to honor them in my relay by carrying names on a card while I walk. During the walk, I'll be praying for them and the families specifically. Let me know if you would like someone to be added to my card.
